Dynamax Xtreme Pro II Fan Systems Back In Stock!
Yep! The bad boy
of fan systems is back in stock! This 3rd
generation fan system now features an all new
single billet rotor hub assembly. The integrated
collet allows the fan system to spin even higher RPMs,
completely eliminating any possible 'play' normally
found when using a traditional two piece type of collet
assembly. The end result is a smoother running and
more efficient fan system!

Congratulations to James Cameron!
Today, James Cameron
was the first man in history to complete a solo dive to
the Mariana Trench. Jim Drew, CEO of XPS, spent
time with James Cameron last week going over the
electronic 'flight' control system that XPS developed for the
expedition's ROV. XPS has been under contract for
the last 10 months, working with Mike Cameron (James'
brother) who developed all of the ROVs used by James
Cameron for exploration of the Titanic and Bismarck.
During this time, virtually all progress on our future
products was halted so that we could be part of this
historic event.

Changesun 70mm and 90mm Fans Now In Stock!
To fill the needs of
the smaller EDFs, XPS has teamed up with Changesun to
provide 70mm and 90mm fan solutions. Like the
Dynamax fan, these fans use high solidity (blade count)
to provide incredible sound and performance.

XPS showed the brute
force power of the new Dynamax Xtreme PRO 2 fan system
installed in a Skymaster 2M ViperJet. A top speed
of 195.6MPH was recorded on radar during one of the
flights. This is not the EDF ViperJet, this is the
2 meter version which is designed for turbines only.
The weight of this plane was 33 pounds! A
15S2P5000mAh battery setup along with a Hacker/JETI
170-200A controller was used. Video of a couple of
passes can be seen here:
Also, Model Airplane
News strapped their high def video camera to this plane
and got some great onboard video. That can be

their products on hand for sale at the show.
AMA
EXPO 2011
ANOTHER SUCCESS FOR XPS!
The XPS brand 16
channel transmitter was shown for the first time.
We expect to release the transmitter on the 4th
anniversary of the release of the XtremeLink® radio
system at the Weak Signals model expo in Toledo, Ohio in
April. Feedback from the general public as well as
the top pilots in the industry was incredible!
There was disbelief in the number of high tech features
such as 16 true channels, a large backlit LCD display,
speech recognition, speech output, 1000 model memory,
full telemetry, etc. - especially given the
target price of just $249. Watch our website for
more details!
The new XtremeLink®
module for the Hitec Aurora 9 transmitter was shown.
This new plug-in module interfaces directly to the
Aurora 9's CPU and does not use the PPM pulse conversion
method that is common with modules. As a result,
the latency over the stock Aurora 9 is nearly cut in
half! Testing by top pilots prove a dramatic
improvement in control response due to the huge
reduction in latency and superior resolution (65536
instead vs. 1024). More information about the
latency difference can be found
here. The
XtremeLink® telemetry data (including signal strength)
is available in the Aurora 9's display. We are
working on adding support for Eagletree sensors and
Hitec's sensor station to go along with our own sensors.
The module can be wirelessly upgraded using our XDP
device. The XtremeLink® system also does not have
the "dead servo" issue like the Aurora 9 system does.
When the Hitec receiver loses data and a failsafe
occurs, there is a period of time where the servos
do not have any holding force (like no power). It
is possible that the servos can sit in this dead state
if the signal comes and goes. Expected release date is February 15th.
After months of
waiting, they are finally here! The 3rd generation
of our incredibly popular Lipo batteries are now
available! These new batteries boast a 65C
discharge with 90C burst, and an unheard of 8C charge
rate! No more long waits!
***
WARNING *** Because the average voltage of these cells
is much higher under load than previous Lipo technology
you MUST test your setup with an amp meter to make sure
that you do not exceed the powering handling of your
motor. We will not be responsible for blowing up
your motor! You have been warned!

Dylan Rodriguez
Wins Gas Pro Truggy at Gas Championships
Using XPS Park Flyer Receiver!
Once again, Dylan
Rodriguez is tearing it up! This time with a win
in Truggy class at the Gas Championships. After a
successful season using our popular 3 channel surface
receiver, Dylan switched to our 6 channel park flyer
receiver. This saved weight, and allows the 2.4GHz
system to perform flawlessly with a input voltage of
just 2.1v!
Congratulations to
Dylan on another great win! Expect many more from
Dylan, as he is becoming the kid (...err man) to beat!
XPS
SETS FASTEST PASS AT BIG JOLT!
Jim Drew entered his
trusty 20 year old Starfire in the speed contest held at
the Big Jolt event put on by the PVMAC. The result
was another record setting fastest pass of 223.9MPH,
besting last year's pass of 199MPH!
Jim said, "There were
some issues with the plane going faster than the control
surfaces would allow for turning. This setup is
clearly over 230MPH, as the record setting pass was
actually my 4th full throttle run which means that
batteries were down a lot. We will need to change
the control surfaces so we can see how fast it will
really go!"
The difference between
last year and this year is the new Dynamax Xtreme Pro
fan system. Producing over 26 pounds of thrust on
15 cells (compared to just 22 pounds of thrust last
year) definitely makes for higher speeds.

XPS
RELEASES NEW NANO RECEIVERS!
Xtreme Power
Systems expands on their already successful product line by releasing two new
ultra small receivers. Designed for small indoor
and outdoor applications, these tiny receivers offer
features not offered by any other radio manufacturer
such as wireless programming, wireless firmware
upgrades, independently programmable channel failsafes,
channel mapping, and more! To top it off, these
new receivers perform flawlessly down to an amazingly
low 2.0 volts, far below what any other radio
manufacturer offers! The low voltage operation
allows single cell Lipo setups to be possible and
reliable! Measuring just 1.0" x .7" and weighing
around 3 grams, these receivers make installation easy
in everything from foamies to micro helis. Don't
let the size of these receivers fool you! Our
testing has determined the range of these nano receivers
to be equal to our full range receivers! However,
because of their size we are stating that they are "park
flyer" type receivers.

Tired of paying big
money for high performance, high capacity, EDF packs?
So were we! So, we had our Lipo factory produce
45C Platinum 6600mAh JetPacks™. These packs fit
into virtually every EDF jet configuration, offering
ease of installation into popular planes such as the
Yellow Aircraft Starfire II, F4, F-18, as well as BVM
Electra, Bandit, Maverick, and many others. 2S,
5S, and 6S packs are available! XPS is famous for
our Lipo battery technology (especially in EDF
applications), as well as our fair pricing. Why
pay more for less?
XPS JetPacks™ - 6S (top) and 5S
(bottom) configurations
Xtreme Power
Systems once again showed their EDF dominance at California Jets 2010.
Besides having the fastest EDF at the event, XPS picked
up the "Engineering Excellence EDF" award for our
Dynamax Xtreme powered Yellow Aircraft F-15.
Unlike other companies
that demo their fan systems using 6500mAh packs (needed
because of their higher amp draw), XPS uses 5000mAh
packs to prove that you don't need huge packs. Of
course, very long flight times are possible using
6500mAh or larger packs. Don't be fooled by
competitors using large capacity batteries and coasting
around the sky to obtain long flight times. Watts
are watts - the lower the amp draw, the longer the
possible flight time!
Jim Drew, CEO/President of Xtreme
Power Systems with his 20 year old Yellow Aircraft
Starfire II.

New
Anti-Spark System Now Available!
Xtreme Power
Systems releases yet another equipment saving device! High voltage Lipo
systems are known for that huge "zap" that occurs when
connecting the pack to the ESC. This spark (caused
by too rapid of charging of the capacitors used in ESCs)
destroys contacts and also can damage the capacitors
themselves! The XPS anti-spark system prevents
this damage completely! Simply wire in the system
(or make a portable version with connectors) and touch
the anti-spark wire to your battery for several seconds,
and then plug in your battery lead - NO SPARK!
Rated for 1S to 18S operation. Made using high
grade fireproof material. Works with all speed
controllers available! Get one and save your ESC,
connectors, and your nerves!
New
Products Include Power Supply, Charger, Connectors, Wire
and more!
Xtreme Power Systems
has added more products! We now offer the eFuel
power supply, iMax B8+ charger, 6mm and 8mm bullet
connectors, and a selection of high grade silicon wire!

TattleTale™
Released!
Xtreme Power
Systems is pleased to announce the release of our latest product called
the TattleTale™. This is a device that every R/C modeler
needs in every one of their radio controlled planes, cars, or
boats! This device monitors a receiver's input voltage and
reports the lowest voltage threshold while in use. No more
guessing if your power system is adequate for your setup! The
TattleTale™ also monitors the PWM servo pulse coming from the
receiver and can report if a glitch, failsafe, or reboot occurs!
As an added bonus, the TattleTale™ has a built-in programmable
timer that can be used as a flight duration timer for night flyers!
The
TattleTale™ is so small (.5" x .75") and lightweight (1.75g -
.062oz) that even the smallest foamies can easily carry it! Don't
be surprised to find that high dollar expander system can't power your
receiver and servos like you thought it does! Nearly 100% of all
radio problems are due to low power! 2.4GHz radios use computers
which require constant power. Now you can finally put your mind
at ease by checking your power system's ability to provide true power
full time!
Xtreme
Power Systems Captures Fastest Pass at E-Jets International!
Xtreme Power
Systems debuted our Dynamax Xtreme fan system at the E-Jets
International event in Grove City, Ohio. The fastest pass was
just about as close to 200 MPH as you could get with one radar showing
199.7 MPH! This pass was done with a 20 years old jet that was
converted from a turbine setup to EDF!
We brought
out all of the old planes, including two Byron F-15 (both 20 years old)
that have been converted from the old OS .91 glow ducted fan setups to
the Dynamax Xtreme setups. Imagine the sight of a 41 pound F-15
going down the deck at 134 MPH! If you were there, you don't need
to imagine - you saw it! To see a video of this amazing feat, click here.
Compare the
difference in fan systems yourself. The Dynamax Xtreme system is
not only the most affordable (at $439), it also out performs all
120-127mm fan systems available.
Congratulations
to Jim Martin on his successful maiden of his Fly Eagle F-14
Tomcat. This massive plane weighs 46-54 pounds (depending on the
battery setup), has functioning swing wings, and other features.
To see videos of this incredible accomplishment, click here.
The Dynamax
Xtreme fan system will be available starting October 1st.
Xtreme
Power Systems releases new 8 channel sailplane receiver!
We are
pleased to announce the release of our new 8 channel "sailplane"
receiver. This new receiver is extremely compact, designed for
small fuselages often found with gliders. The antenna is a long
whip style antenna that can be mounted outside of the fuselage for
all-carbon configurations.
Congratulations to Dylan Rodriguez on his 3rd place finish at the RC
Pro West Series!
Using our new
3 channel surface receiver, Dylan was able to drive his 1/8th scale
nitro buggy for more than 45 minutes without worry of power issues
commonly found in radio systems unable to cope with low voltage and
brownouts. Dylan is one of the top drivers in the nation and he
knows just how important a solid radio link is! This is why Dylan
uses the XtremeLink® radio system!
Xtreme
Power Systems releases new 3 channel surface receiver!
We are
pleased to announce the release of our new 3 channel "surface"
receiver. This new receiver represents the 2nd generation of our
already successful hardware. The new hardware features extremely
low voltage operation (down to 2.0 volts!), a new multi-colored status
LED, and the ability to have its firmware flashed using our XDP or
Telemetry Station. Comes with v3.x firmware pre-installed.
This receiver
is designed for ground based vehicles (not for use on water), and has
been extensively tested in everything from 1/10th scale oval to 1/8th
scale nitro.
BETA
Firmware Updater Software Released!
We have
released a beta version of our firmware updater. This updater
requires that you have already upgraded your XtremeLink® system to
v3.0 or later. It is not possible to upgrade v2.x devices to v3.x
devices due to a firmware change necessary to the RF module. This
updater will update receivers to v3.4, transmitter modules to v3.4, and
satellite receivers to v1.1.
This updater
works with both the XDP and Telemetry Station devices.
Although we
have tested this software with numerous systems, there is always a
possibility of firmware updaters being interrupted in the middle of the
update, making the device unusable. Please use a full battery
when performing the updates and never unplug the USB cable from the
computer during the update process! If you receive a "success"
message then your firmware has been successfully upgraded.
Put your
XtremeLink® receiver or transmitter module into computer
programming mode before running the updater.
We are
pleased to announce that we are now selling the Graupner MX-16 radio
systems. This 8 channel radio system rivals those 7 channel
systems with its superior programming, additional channel, and RF
technology provided by Xtreme Power Systems! Complete radio
system with 8 channel transmitter (w/2000mAh Nimh battery), and one 8
channel receiver (no servos) is just $299!
We are
releasing the changes we have made to support v3.x of the firmware with
the XDP and Scanner programs. RxDiag.exe was already v3.x
compatible. TxDiag.exe is still not compatible with hopping modes
other than 1 (the original predictive hopping mode). We are in
the process of updating the TxDiag.exe program. The Scanner.exe
program fully support v3.x now and allows recording/playing back long
data streams properly. Localization has been done with the
Scanner.exe and some of the XDP.exe program. When completed, we
will have language support for 15 different languages.
The new
software can be downloaded from the XDP webpage, located here.

XPS helps
capture 2007 World Cup title!
Congratulations to Brent
Daily, who won the 2007 World Cup in the Cracker Box division!
Brent sent us the note and picture below:
Hey Jim and Scott,
I won first place with my cracker box at the World Cup in Las
Vegas this last weekend.
I used your system. I had a signal in my boat and my old radio
was glitching so bad I couldn't run the boat.
Dean Rojas loaned me his back up system.
My boat was like it was on rails, it was so smooth through the
turns I was able to get more aggressive with it. All I can say
about your system is "WOW".
I'm emailing you a picture for your web site.
I'll stop by to see you guys.
Brent Daily with his 2007 World
Cup winning cracker box boat!

Hi there
I just wanted to tell you
that here in Denmark the XPS works super fine in my Gasoline boat
(180cm long, 50ccm Polini engine with 10 hp, topspeed aprox 90
km/h)
I just got back from a powerboat meeting in Germany, and there it
realy payed off having this system. Many other competitors only
hade the normal 40 mhz and had many problems (interference and
too many using the same frequenzy so they had to wait for a long
time) but I was so lucky that I had none of this. The XPS system
works fine, and soon the rest of my fleet will also have XPS..
